Filipinos' Valentine's Day Wishes This 2024: Money Over Love

 Valentine's Day is more than just chocolates and roses for Filipinos, as recent survey results shed light on their top wishes for the romantic occasion.

According to the National Social Weather Survey conducted in December 2023, Filipinos expressed a diverse range of desires for Valentine's Day gifts. Topping the list were money, love, and flowers, reflecting a blend of practicality and romance in their aspirations.

Interestingly, the survey revealed gender differences in gift preferences. While men leaned towards apparel and heartfelt gestures, women tended to favor monetary gifts and floral arrangements. However, both sexes unanimously prioritized love and companionship above all else, highlighting the universal quest for meaningful connections.

Delving deeper into matters of the heart, the survey also uncovered insights into Filipinos' satisfaction with their love lives. A remarkable 58% of respondents expressed being very happy with their romantic relationships, marking a significant increase since 2011.
