Taylor Swift's Dad Involved in Reported Altercation: Spokesperson Responds

Taylor Swift Not Allowed to Play Her Hits at the AMAs

Taylor Swift's spokesperson has addressed the alleged altercation involving the singer's dad, Scott, and an Australian photographer. According to the representative, two individuals aggressively approached Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel and threatening a female staff member. The incident reportedly occurred early Tuesday morning in Sydney.

Although Australia's Sky News reported that Scott, 71, was involved in the altercation on Sydney's North Shore, police have not confirmed the identities of those involved. They are investigating an "alleged assault after a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf" around 2:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday. Fortunately, the man did not require medical treatment.

Scott has been a familiar face at Taylor's tour since it began last spring. Over the weekend, he was seen interacting with fans and celebrities like Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and actor Rebel Wilson in the VIP tent.

Taylor concluded her fourth and final Eras Tour show at Sydney's Accor Stadium on Monday night, thanking fans for their support. She is scheduled to resume her tour on March 2 in Singapore, where she will perform six shows.

Before the tour began, Taylor shared a backstage pass she had made for Scott, humorously labeled "D.O.H. Pass (Dad of Headliner)." Scott, along with Taylor's mom, Andrea, and brother, Austin, also attended the Super Bowl to support Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Following the Australian leg of her tour, Taylor is taking a short break before returning to the stage.
